James P. Steele

President, Financial Services Division

Mr. Steele is the current President of IFS Financial Services, a division of Integrated Financial Settlements, Inc. He has nearly thirty years experience in structured settlements and the financial services industry.

Previously, Steele was President of the International Structured Settlements Division of American International Group, Inc. (AIG) since 2005 having developed market-leading products in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom. He was Senior Vice President of Structured Settlements Sales and Marketing for AIG prior to 2005 and carried the same title with American General Corporation before its ultimate acquisition by AIG in 2001. He began his career in 1982 with Western National Life Insurance Company, an originator of the structured settlements annuity concept.

Steele graduated from West Texas State University (now West Texas A&M) in 1986 with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science. He received a Master of Business Administration in 1995, also from West Texas A&M. He had been an active member of the National Structured Settlements Trade Association since 1988 and most recently served the organization as its President-Elect of the Board of Directors in 2007-2008.
